The Amalienborg Museum
During the restoration of Christian VIII's palace – part of Amalienborg palace – in 1994, a museum was installed on the ground floor. This museum is an extension of the Royal Collections at Rosenborg palace.
Visitors can view artefacts from the Kings of the House of Glücksburg in the period of 1863-1972 and covers four generations of the family line. The interior exhibits follow the royal generation changes, including reconstructions of Fredrik VIII's private office and jewelry chamber.
The museum stages several special exhibitions every year about the Royal family.
